A rich, full bodied coffee with earthy dark chocolate flavours and a hint of orange
ABOUT THE ORIGIN AND GROWERS
Grown in the Sidamo region which is situated in the famous Great Rift Valley that runs through Ethiopia and Kenya. The Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union was founded in 1999 by 35 small certified organic co-operatives.
The farmers cultivate their coffee in bird and forest-friendly conditions, employing organic agricultural techniques, such as intercropping with food crops to enhance soil fertility. The ripest coffee cherries are selectively handpicked and processed to ensure superior quality. The high altitudes at which this coffee is grown give the beans a naturally high density and contribute to its unique flavour notes of wine and chocolate, and provides the bright, crisp, citrus acidity
